As part of his May Revision budget released on May 14, 2015, the Governor proposed to decrease Office of Public School Construction (OPSC) staffing by 37 positions, a reduction worth $4,470,000. This week, both houses of the Legislature took actions in their respective state administration budget subcommittees to approve this proposal. As such, it is almost guaranteed that the reduction will be incorporated in the final budget to be adopted by the June 15 constitutional deadline. Continue reading
