In light of the broad changes to California’s educational finance system with the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), including significant changes to the School Facility Program (SFP) and significant reduction in funding to support school maintenance as a result of budget flexibility, under the leadership of Joe Dixon, C.A.S.H. Chair, we are pleased to introduce the C.A.S.H. Maintenance Management Certification Program (CMMCP).
The Program will provide an educational resource for those who would like to increase their expertise in the management of school maintenance and operations programs, including:
- Maintenance Supervisors
- Maintenance Directors
- Facilities Directors
- Chief Business Officials (with maintenance area of responsibility)
- Purchasing Directors
- Anyone looking to move into public sector maintenance and operations
Curriculum
- Bidding and Procurement
- Security/Safety/Emergency Preparations
- Efficiency and Sustainability Through Maintenance
- Accounting and Budgeting
- Staffing and Management
- Planned and Preventative Maintenance Systems
- Current Hot Topics
To reduce travel and associated costs for participants, the program will be technology-based and will deliver curriculum online. Students, at the culmination of the program, will provide a project that will advance their maintenance efforts to develop a Planned Maintenance System.
